Greatings from Bath

Hi guys!

I know I haven't been any good at this at all. But really, there haven't been much to write about othe then problems, problems, problems. Let me get this one out. Britsh people socially are the best. They are open, welcoming and nothing like Danish people. But when that is said nothing els overhere is good.

Uni work is rubbish (yea, I say rubbish now). They haven't got anything organized. No welcome day for Erasmus students, no courses with other international students, no introduction to the school. Everything I know is based on my own findings or help from Lucinda and her friends. First day I came to Bath Spa Uni they didn't even know which courses I was to attent. Then after a week I was told that one course of 20 Bath point is not double ECTS but half! So I had to find some more courses. I did that but then it turned out to be courses that weren't available so back to the beginning again.

Now I have my courses sorted and I have three different once. Now this is the funny part, something that Bat Spa does differently then back home. My the courses take up three day. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday which is fine. But it's not for the whole day. Oh no, it Tuesday for 2 hours, Wednesday 1 hour and Thursday 2 hours. And that is all the Uni time that I have. I was so shocked that I would only have 5 hours a week, that's not something I'm used to from back in Denmark, but oh well. You go with the flow.

After I sorted everything out I was so ready to just jump in it and learn all this new theory on what and how to teach. Have some placement and just see a nother way of teaching pupils. But no! That didn't go as planed. I still haven't got any placement and I'm trying to push them to give me something doesn't matter what. But they can't find a school that want's me. They are looking and we have agreed that I should have placement 2x5 hours a week instead of a coupe of hourse 1 day a week which is how they normally do it.
Tomorrow I have a meeting with my coordinator overhere, let's see if there are any good new then. I sure hope so.

But to the better part of being in England. As I said the people are really nice and have taken me in really quickly. I've seen Lucinda some times, been out with her and met some nice people that I really do like haanging out with.
If you ever want to come to England then don't go to London, come to Bath! It's such a woderfull city. All georgian and roman styles even if there is a new building they have to build so that it looks like the other buildings. They have so much history here and so many beautiful things to see. Some I have seen and others I'm still waiting for. But all in all, I love Bath. They are really student friendly as wel.

Oh yea and brits they love riding in taxies. Everytime we go out in the evening or gome home at night it's by taxi and not public trasportation because there isn't any busses after 00.00 and no trains in Bath only if you want to get to another city.

I've seen some of your pictures where there is snow and everything, I'm lucky. No snow and there isn't that much rain eighter.

I'm here !

I'm here in my room in Bath Spa and let me tell you Mr. and Mrs. Butt (hahaha) are very normal people - buuh. Oh well I like them and they really seem nice. They told me to look upon them as my "British mum and dad" - weeeeell I don't know if I'll be doing just that. But I had some tea when I came, some cookies and a nice glass of red wine (love it) they drik vin when ever hehe. Hey oh yea, there's a Spanish guy living here too (25 years old) but he is back home for Christmas, he'll be here on Monday. Can't wait to meet him ;)

Best wishes to you all !
